What's Katalog and how does it work?
Katalog is an audio-first read-it-later app. It lets you save articles for later and listen to them with high-quality AI narration. You can also use your voice while listening to ask questions, take notes, or highlight important points.
How does monthly usage limits work in Basic and Pro plans?
The primary usage limits in Katalog are the number of "saved articles" and "generated audio". These usage limits reset monthly in both the Basic and Pro plans.
Every time you paste a link, Katalog processes the article, optimizing it for the best listening experience. For example, if an article contains an image, Katalog generates a short description for it. Therefore, every successful article save increases the "saved articles" usage meter for this month.
The same applies to "generated audio" - every time an article narration is generated, this increases the "generated audio" usage meter.
What happens if I go over the monthly usage limit?
You retain full access to your library and can still read and listen to articles' audio generated before. Your usage limits will reset on the 1st day of the next month.
Do you offer a free plan or always-free features?
No, we don't offer a free plan. Instead, you get 2 free audio generations after creating an account. This means you can save 2 article links into Katalog and listen to them without being charged.
What's your refund and cancellation policy?
You can cancel at any time. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing cycle, but we don't issue refunds for unused time.
Is there a discount for annual billing?
Yes. On an annual Pro or Basic plan, you get a 20% discount.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards. Payment is handled and processed by Polar.
Are there discounts for students, education or non-profit organizations?
Not yet, but we're actively working on setting up a process for supporting these cases. Please contact support if you're interested and qualified.
